Ah, the weirdo ad. Besides providing some much-needed levity in the form of a “WTF” moment, it also makes us wonder exactly where these ideas come from and how they pitched them. But sometimes it makes sense. Australian insurance company Bingle wanted to show just how fast and easy its services are, so creative agency The Monkeys created this spot that shows you can fit signing up in between all the other dumb things you do to pass the time, like playing flute for your pet crab. Also, the campaign is a take on the old “it’s so simple a monkey could do it” adage, although referencing a traditional saying doesn’t make a skydiving blindfolded chimp any less strange.
