We’re digging Donny Osmond’s new gig
Our favourite '70s teen hearththrob paired with Li'l Yachty and The Annex to sing about none other than Chef Boyardee.

Have you ever wondered, “What’s Donny Osmond up to these days?” Yeah, us too.
A couple decades ago, “He’s sitting on top of a Chef Boyardee can, singing about pasta in a commercial” might have been said in a snarky tone of voice. But in 2018 frankly, this… this is fascinating.
There’s something charming about the ’70s teen idol singing about loving tomato sauce, beef and cheese (with just the right amount of Auto-Tune), dancing in a music video with rapper Li’l Yachty, strumming giant forks like guitars and, of course, driving in front of crude green-screen images.
Hey, we’ll give Mr. Osmond – and Yachty, and Chef Boyardee – points for self-awareness. And we’ll also give a ton of the credit to Havas’ entertainment-focused subsidiary The Annex for creating the video, and the long list of talents behind the song.
We just wish Donny had brought lil sis Marie along for the ride. Now that would have earned a Boyardee-level chef kiss.
(We acknowledge that there are two key demographics that this spot aims for; those who recognize Li’l Yachty first and those who recognize Osmond. We also acknowledge that which entertainer you recognize may correlate with age).
