This campaign for an L.A.-based jerky maker by Calgary's Evans Hunt makes a case for family-run businesses.

Many of you reading this might not have a very high opinion of beef jerky, thinking of it more as a cheap snack you ignore at the cash register of a gas station. But you might change your tune if you were as dedicated to it as the people behind People’s Choice Beef Jerky.

The L.A.-based company, run by four generations of the Bianchetti family, has been putting its heart and soul into jerky for 87 years. In a new video, we get to hear, directly from the Bianchettis, why being family owned and operated has let them give beef jerky the attention it deserves and turn a run-of-the-mill salty snack to a hand-crafted, culinary experience.

The video is part of broader work done for the brand by Calgary agency Evans Hunt, including a brand new website. They’ve also revamped the company’s Instagram, with pictures that alternate between showing off the craftsmanship that goes into what they do and some very cool old photos taken throughout the four generations that have been making jerky throughout the years.
