Hunger makes you stupid

Snickers creates new terms to go with "hangry."

We’ve all heard the term “hangry” by now: the feelings of irritability and straight-up rage we get when our hunger isn’t satisfied. But that’s not the only way our perceptions change when we we’re famished, as a new campaign from Snickers Crisper suggests.

Playing off its long-standing “You’re not you when you’re hungry” tagline, the new spots by agency BBDO New York enter other portmanteaus in the lexicon that describes combinations of silly things you might do when you’re hungry. Those include not only showing off some questionable social media posts during a job interview, but thinking it went well enough to warrant an immediate follow-up. Or not only showing up to the wrong classroom for your modelling gig, but assuming an unmarked beaker with liquid is a good thing to splash on your skin.
