How do you convince a bunch of baby-faced Taiwanese men to invest in a facial hair trimmer? Give them hair of course. With its patented augmented reality technique, Philips and OgilvyAction Taiwan de-teched the stunt and put mustaches onto clear mugs in salons, so that men could see what they looked like with a macho ‘stache. No apps, no phones, no tech required. The results video, with its cheesy ‘70s game-show feel makes this promo so much more effective.
