If you care for someone…
...then check their beauty spots, says La Roche-Posay.

How do you get people to pay attention to a serious issue like skin cancer? Find a pack of spotted pups and film them being adorable, of course. La Roche-Posay’s “Become a Skin Checker” campaign is one of those simple-yet-smart ideas that makes us want to respond to its call to action. The video, created for the skincare brand by BETC Paris, shows spotty Dalmatians looking after their loved ones by checking their beauty marks, and asks us humans to do the same for our own. The agency’s art director Jean-Michel Alirol and copywriter Dominique Marchand explain the idea behind the ad: “Showing naked people looking at their skin is always slightly edgy; there’s a risk that viewers may find it uncomfortable or distressing. So, it made sense to find an analogy using animals, which led us to the Dalmatians.” We couldn’t agree more.
