Target practice

Gillette lets a footballer answer tweets by kicking balls at a keyboard.

Despite the million-dollar contracts and adoration of millions, being an international soccer star can be tough. Imagine if everything you did at your job was under the scrutiny of stadiums full of highly-invested fans, who can then take to Twitter to tell you just how dumb your mistakes are. Well, Gillette gave one player the chance to answer some of his fans (and critics) while at the same time proving his skills. Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi Buenos Aires brought Argentinean soccer star Sergio Aguero to a practice pitch where a giant, touchscreen keyboard had been set up. After reading a tweet, Aguero lined up his shots and typed out his response by firing balls at the screen and hitting “enter.” Our Spanish isn’t great, but he seems pretty articulate, no?
