We imagine this photographer asked herself one day, “I wonder what I’d look like if I had the beady eyes of a dove, or the inflated eyes of a blowfish?” and then proceeded to try them on like a new pair of sunglasses.

Hungary’s Flora Borsi pretty much did that, and more, in her latest series of photographs that play with our imagination. She manipulated self-portraits of herself (Borsi is not only a photographer: she’s also a model, plus a retoucher) to include the side profiles of furry and not-so-furry animals. Essentially, she’s created a collection of images that allow her to transform into part-human-part-animal without all the nasty surgery.
