Unlocking Audi

The car co gets creative with iPad functionality.

Audi did something pretty creative to promote the fact that Audi Magazine is available on the iPad. It created an ad that it seeded within iPad publications, playing with a particular iPad function, the “swipe to unlock” feature. Now instead of swiping, users are racing to unlock as the agency that developed the ad, AlmapBBDO in Brazil, turned the short swipe trail into a much more lengthy one resembling a race track. Once unlocked the ad leads finger racers to a page where they can install the magazine’s app. Simple and very, very cool.
