Typography that breathes personality
Popular modern-day TV series, re-imagined with 1950s title cards.
Retro will always be hip, which is why this series of TV series titles, by South African designer/illustrator Luke Ritchie, hits the right spot. He reimagined modern day shows to give them a look of the past, relying on the typography to tell you everything you need to know. He says on Behance, where the work is housed, that “we took a selection of popular modern day TV series, and re-imagined them as 1950’s screen titles. The focus here was to use typography to convey the atmosphere and personality of the show, using as little graphical devices as possible.”
