The NBA teamed up with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and DJ Steve Porter to create this ad, which promotes the league’s 2010 playoffs. It’s one of the first of six to launch, each video encompassing a particular word or term as its theme – in this case ‘Stepping up.’ The ads fall under the NBA’s ‘Where Amazing Happens’ platform. Speaking of amazing, that’s the word to describe how Porter was able to use soundbytes from NBA players and coaches during press conferences, interviews and in-game action to make an original piece of music. Now that’s stepping up.
