Canada didn’t bag any wins during the first batch of awards announced at the Cannes International Film Festival, but this little tourism campaign for a small, broke mining city in Japan called Yubari, developed by Tokyo-based Beacon Communications took home the Grand Prix in the Promo category. The agency helped to rebrand the city around the fact that it has the lowest divorce rate in Japan, which got newlyweds flocking to it and helped it to get its books back into the black.
