Philips has gone online to whip up a little movie magic to promote its new cinema proportioned LCD TV. Working with Tribal DDB in Amsterdam and Stink Digital in London, UK, Philips launched a website that hosts an exclusive, fully interactive short film called Carousel. The movie is filmed in one continuous tracking shot and during the playback it lets the viewer explore the world of filmmaking through the eyes of the director and the special effects and lighting experts with various interactive touch points. We won’t ruin the movie for you by telling you what it’s about. Someone ruined the end of The Sixth Sense for us and that sucked. We will only say that it takes stop motion in a new direction – and that we hate maniacal clowns with a criminal sense of entitlement.
